FOR 2023:


The Keeler, Melvin & Morse trio (active from 2002 - 2011) has reunited for a select few appearances after an 11 year hiatus. We performed at the 2022 Spokane Fall  Folk Festival (some video clips on my Fa cebook page) and performed live on Spokane Public Radio's fall folk fest broadcast (available at the SPR website). We have also been invited to appear on Spokane's KSPS/PBS program "Inland Sessions" which features local and regional musicians and bands in a 30 minute format. Taping is scheduled for late January and will be aired later in 2023. Updates will be posted on my Facebook page.


ALSO FOR 2023:

The Brad Keeler Trio (w/ Jim Pittman and Phil Kleinman) is scheduling some dates after a 3 year hiatus (mostly due to covid). We will play at the Inland Northwest Bluegrass Music Association's February Showcase concert at Opportunity Presbyterian Church in Spokane Valley on February 4, 2023.

In 2020, I did fewer performances that I had in the previous 30 years due to Covid19. A handful of appearances at Forza Coffee, a final concert in St Maries, ID with Jackie Fox and the Hounds and a concert with Brad Keeler and Level Four (Jim Pittman, Philip Brown and Phil Kleinman) for the Deer Park Summer Concert Series was the extent of our activities for 2020. I had NO bookings until May 8, 2021 (my 66th birthday) at the Pend d'Oreille WInery in Sandpoint, ID.


For 2021, I have numerous farmer's market dates in the Spokane area and some venue dates coming up in late summer and early fall. Also, there is a special event coming up in October- the previously canceled (2020 due to Covid19) reunion concert with my former bandmates Laddie Ray Melvin and "Lonesome" Lyle Morse. This show will be hosted by Bob Rice of www.indieairradio.com. I worked with "Keeler, Melvin and Morse" extensively from 2003 til 2010, with a final concert in Tri-Cities for the Three Rivers Folk Society in January or February of 2011. I am enjoying playing for the public again and have a ton of new material that I've either written or learned in the past couple of years (especially during the Covid quarantine!). Sort of a musical rebirth of some kind, I would say.




I did numerous solo gigs in 2019- possibly more that I have done in the past 5 years. Performing covers from the past 100 years and focusing on originals from the past 30 years, I returned to Sandpoint, ID a locale I had not performed in for about a decade. WIth bookings at Laughing Dog Brewery, Idaho Pour Authority, the Pend d'Oreille Winery and the Sandpoint Library (November 16, 2019) it's been great to visit the resort town in far north Idaho again to share my music. I also performed solo at the Tumbleweed Music Fest in Richland, WA for the first time in 10 years! On the last weekend of October I shared the stage at Bob Rice's Indie Air Radio concert series with the very talented, Sandpoint-based,singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Patrice Webb. It was an evening of all original music (except for the singalong closer "I'll Fly Away") to a full house of appreciative attendees. 



In the winter months of 2018 and 2019, I had recorded my 13th solo album "Dust and Sun." This album of all originals is somewhat experimental for me and the most "electric" music I've ever recorded. It was available for sale at shows starting on Labor Day weekend at Tumbleweed and will also be available for download at www.indieairradio.com. I plan to record another album (or EP) in the winter of 2019-2020. I have plenty of original material both bold and new.


With Linda Parman, I created and presented 10 mini-concerts for the Spokane County Library District between February and May 2019. The theme was the late 1950s-early 1960s Folk Revival (commemorating the 60th anniversary of the first Newport Folk Festival in 1959). These shows were well attended in the larger libraries and the audiences were pleased with the program. Unfortunately, Linda Parman decided to no longer do these programs. We have done 5 separate programs of historically themed concerts for the SCLD since 2014 a total of about 50 concerts. Linda's contribution to these shows will be missed.



FANCEE THAT: (THIS DUO IS ON INDEFINITE HIATUSAT THE PRESENT)

Jackie McIntyre-Fox and I have been working together on and off with various music projects for over ten years and in the summer of 2016, in addition to our work in the "Fox and Hounds" group, we began focusing on presenting ourselves in a "duo" format. We are calling our duo "FanceeThat!"


In 2019, FanceeThat! performed in concert at the historic Cordelia Church near Moscow, Idaho, also in concert (with our friend and accompanyist Philip Brown on violin, piano, and accordion) at the historic Balch Hotel in Dufur, Oregon. Other appearances include the Maryhill Winery in Goldendale, WA. FanceeThat! also performed at the North Idaho State Fair in Coeur d'Alene, ID, as well as venues including Kootenai River Casino (Bonners Ferry, ID), Mulligan's (Coeur d'Alene, ID), and St. Maries Summer Concert Series (St Maries, ID). 



In January 2018, we performed at the Three Rivers Folklife Society Winter Concert Series in Pasco, WA, as well as The Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland, WA. In 2018 we will again perform at the Colville Rendezvous, the Bemiss Community Concert Series in Spokane, Mulligan's in Coeur d'Alene with more bookings to come (please see the schedule elsewhere on this website).


JACKIE FOX AND THE HOUNDS:(MY PARTICIPATION INTHIS GROUP IS ALSO ON HIATUS INDEFINITELY)


In 2019, Jackie and the Hounds performed again at the Northe Idaho State Fair in Coeur d'Alene. We also performed at the Latah County Fair in Moscow, ID and the Tygh Valley Bluegrass Festival in Oregon. 


LEVEL FOUR: (THIS GROUP IS ON INDEFINITE HIATUSPRESENTLY)

Level Four had no gigs for 2019, but tentatively will perform in mid July at the annual Deer Park Summer Concert Series at Mix Park yet again (possibly with personnel changes).  ​In July of 2016, the new, larger, incarnation of LEVEL FOUR made its debut at the Deer Park Summer Concert Series at Mix Park. This unit is a little different from most of my previous musical projects with Rick Singer on drums, Phil Kleinman on electric slide guitar, Jim Pittman on bass and vocals and myself mostly playing archtop electric. It's the most "electric" band I've ever been in. And alot of fun, too! We'll be at Mix Park again in July of 2017. You can find a video of us on youtube playing the blues classic "Trouble In Mind" at the 2016 Spokane Fall Folk Festival. We were

at the 2017 and 2018 Spokane Fall Folk Festival as well.
